Getting Started

I've always been a pretty disorganized person. Not for lack of trying of course, but for me everything just kinda gets naturally messy for days/weeks until I bother to clean it up. Sometimes I just forget entirely. Whether it's just cleaning my room, keeping track of assignments I need to do, or hell even just using MyAnimeList to log the hundreds of anime I've watched. With the anime site, I never felt like it was quite right for what I wanted to do, felt too bland not appealing to my specific wants on "Hey I watched this thing, here's how I want to let people know." After years of trying different solutions, twitter media threads, even a tumblr at one point, I've finally said "fuck it" and decided to make it myself.

For clarification, this site wasn't made purely because some anime list site didn't suit my needs. There's actually a few reasons. As I'm writing this, Donald Trump has just been Inaugrated as 47th president of the United States, and with it, it feels like he got every major social media CEO in his pocket as well. Twitter (Now called X as of writing, please let me come back in a few years and it's back to normal somehow) has been an absolute hellsite to browse, even more so than before Elongated Muskrat bought it, so I finally caved, deleted the app for good, and am on my own now.

Moving past the negatives, I also wanted to make this website to just learn something new. I've never done coding outside of incredibly basic classes from elementary school, so it was fun to figure out how to set a lot of this up, and how it all works. I hope it's something I learn more and more of over time. Hopefully as time goes on with this website, I'll have to rely less and less on other peoples layouts and instead really get into making my own.

That's about all the things I wanted to share to start with. Not sure how long it'll be between each post on here, between the gaming and anime and comic stuff, but I'm hoping for something at least once a week. Until then, thanks for reading and sayonara!
